Privacy Policy

Short version: RoomBillDee is a local-first app. Core property, room, tenant, meter, bill, payment, and photo data is stored in the app's persistent storage on your device. The current app has no RoomBillDee account requirement, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK.

1. Scope

This policy describes how RoomBillDee for Android, iPhone, and iPad handles data when you configure a property, manage rooms and stays, record meters and photos, create bills, record payments, share documents, export or restore a backup, and use a Store lifetime entitlement.

2. Data stored on your device

The app may store property names, rates, due dates, currency and payment identifiers; room and stay details; tenant names and phone numbers; deposits and inspections; meter readings and events; bills and payment history; app settings; and photos or files you choose to attach. This information supports the app's local workflow and is not automatically uploaded to a RoomBillDee property-account service.

3. Camera, photos, and app-owned files

When you choose to take or select a meter or inspection photo, RoomBillDee requests a bounded image, validates its bytes, and copies it into app-owned storage. App-owned attachments are included when the app creates a complete portable backup.

4. Backup and restore

You can export one .hordee package through the operating system's file or share flow to a location you choose, such as Files, iCloud Drive, or Google Drive. The package contains the database and app-owned attachments plus integrity information. It is not encrypted, so store it in a private location. Uninstalling the app or clearing app data removes local records; export and verify a current backup first.

5. Sharing and printing

When you share a bill image, PDF, backup, or printer output, you choose the destination through the operating system or printer connection. The receiving app, provider, or device applies its own privacy terms. RoomBillDee does not send a bill or backup automatically.

6. Purchases and entitlement checks

Google Play or Apple processes payment details; RoomBillDee does not receive your payment-card number. On Android, the app may send Store-issued product and purchase evidence to the RoomBillDee HTTPS verification service to confirm an entitlement. That request does not include property, tenant, meter, bill, photo, or backup data, and the service does not store the raw purchase token or token hash. Purchase restoration and customer-data restoration are separate.

7. Data not collected by the current app

No RoomBillDee email/password account is required for core use.
No advertising SDK or analytics SDK is included.
The app does not sell personal information.
Property records, business figures, photos, and bills are not used for advertising.

8. Your controls

You can review, edit, export, or delete records through the app's controls, subject to the safety checks that protect linked billing and history data. Removing the app removes its local sandbox. A backup stored outside the app remains under your chosen provider and account.

9. Security and limitations

RoomBillDee uses operating-system app storage, validates backup structure and checksums before replacement, and reads staged data back before reporting success. No storage method is perfectly secure. Lock and update your device, protect exported files, and avoid sharing backups in public locations.

10. Children

RoomBillDee is a business tool for property owners or operators and is not designed for children. The app does not provide a RoomBillDee child account service.
