JewelryCostDee
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
1. Overview
JewelryCostDee is a local-first app for tracking material costs, calculating jewelry design cost, setting a selling price, and comparing estimated profit by sales channel. You do not need to create an account or sign in for the core workflow.
This policy explains information stored on your device, image access, backups, and the limited information that may leave the device when Pro purchasing through Google Play or the App Store is enabled.
2. Information stored on your device
To operate and display the records you save, the app stores the following in its persistent application storage on your device:
- Material name, category, supplier, purchase price, quantity, unit, remaining amount, notes, and price history
- Design name, materials and usage quantities, labor, other cost, yield, selling price, and calculation results
- Sales channels, fee rules, discounts, shipping values, and comparison scenarios you create
- Language, currency, first-use guide state, and other in-app preferences
- Material or design images that you choose to store in the app
- Verified Pro entitlement state and limited information needed to restore that entitlement
This core business data is not synchronized to a developer-operated cloud account.
3. Camera and photo library
The app accesses the camera or photo library only when you choose to add an image to a material or design. It requests a bounded image, does not request full metadata, validates the file, and converts supported input into a JPEG stored in the app. It does not automatically scan the rest of your photo library.
4. Backup and restore
You can export one ZIP backup package containing core records and app-owned image files. The package leaves the app only after you confirm export and choose a destination through the operating system's save or share interface, such as Files or a storage provider you select.
The developer does not automatically receive an exported backup. You control where it is stored or shared, how long it is kept, and when it is deleted. Uninstalling the app removes data inside the app sandbox, so export a current backup before deleting the app or changing devices.
5. Pro purchase and entitlement verification
When Pro Lifetime purchasing is enabled, the Store platform processes payment information. JewelryCostDee does not receive or store your payment-card number.
To prevent an incorrect entitlement grant, the app may send the product identifier, Store platform, and a Google Play purchase token or App Store transaction identifier to the JewelryCostDee entitlement-verification service over HTTPS. The service uses the payload to verify Store status and retains only a one-way identifier hash plus minimal Store-status metadata. It does not receive your materials, designs, prices, images, or backup files.
As of the policy date, Store products and real purchasing are not publicly available. This processing applies only when a distributed Store build is correctly configured to use the verification service.
6. Analytics, advertising, and tracking
The current app source contains no advertising or analytics SDK and does not send costing records, designs, prices, or images for advertising. The app does not sell personal information.
This policy page does not install analytics scripts or advertising cookies. The hosting provider may process standard request data, such as an IP address and user agent, to deliver and secure the website under that provider's policies.
7. Retention and deletion
App data remains on your device until you delete records, clear app data, or uninstall the app. You must delete exported backups from the destination you selected. Limited Store-verification records are retained only as needed to validate an entitlement, prevent duplicate grants, and handle refunds or revocations under Store requirements and applicable law.
Because there is no user account and the developer does not receive core business data, the developer cannot retrieve or delete information that exists only on your device on your behalf.
8. Security and responsibility
The app validates a backup before replacing current data, uses operating-system-supported persistent storage, and keeps data restoration separate from Store-entitlement restoration. No system can guarantee complete security. Use a device passcode, keep the operating system current, and protect exported backup files appropriately.
9. Policy changes
We may update this policy when features, SDKs, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest version. The policy must be rechecked against the exact Store binary, permissions, and configuration before that binary is submitted for review.
10. Contact
For privacy requests or questions about JewelryCostDee, email nerubians@gmail.com. Do not send passwords, payment information, purchase tokens, or a backup containing business data unless you receive case-specific instructions.
