Overview

BeautyCostDee is a local-first mobile app for independent nail professionals and small beauty businesses. It calculates material cost, labor, overhead, profit, margin, and a target-based selling price. Core costing and saved-service work does not require an account or login.

Business data stored on your device

BeautyCostDee stores the information needed for its features primarily in the app's persistent storage on your device. Depending on what you use, this can include:

Materials, purchase prices, quantities, units, and notes
Services, duration, selling price, material usage, labor, overhead, and target margin
Nail designs, app-owned full images, thumbnails, and service photos
Local sales, receipt snapshots, payment method, summaries, and void reasons
Shop preferences, language, business currency, onboarding state, and device entitlement state

What is not sent as analytics or advertising data

The mobile app does not use an active analytics or advertising SDK. BeautyCostDee does not send your materials, service prices, calculations, sales records, nail images, or exported backup packages to developer-operated analytics or advertising services.

Complete backup and restore

The current customer backup is one complete ZIP package selected through the operating system's document or share flow. It contains canonical business records plus available app-owned nail-design images and thumbnails. You choose where that package is saved, copied, or shared.

BeautyCostDee validates the package identity, schema, entry limits, paths, hashes, referenced attachments, and image bytes before replacing current shop data. An invalid package must leave current data unchanged. Store entitlement is not included in the backup and is restored separately with the Store account that purchased it.

Keep a current backup outside the app before deleting the app or replacing a device. Clearing app storage or uninstalling can remove data that exists only inside the app.

Photos, files, and nearby devices

When you choose a photo or complete backup, the operating system may provide access to that selected item. Camera or photo-library access is used only when you choose an image feature. Bluetooth or nearby-device access is used only for explicitly supported direct-printer workflows; PDF, sharing, and system printing remain available as platform fallbacks.

In-app purchases

BeautyCostDee offers a one-time Pro upgrade through Google Play Billing or Apple StoreKit. The Store handles payment information. To prevent fraudulent entitlement grants, the app may send a Store-issued product identifier and purchase-verification payload to a developer-operated verification service. That service validates the Store purchase and does not receive your shop records, calculations, images, sales, or backup package.

The verification service stores a SHA-256 hash derived from the Store token, the platform and BeautyCostDee app/product identifiers, the Store order or transaction identifier when available, entitlement status, and verification, update, or revocation timestamps. It does not store the raw Store token. These records support entitlement validation, restoration, fraud prevention, and revocation handling.

Purchase-verification records are automatically deleted no later than 90 days after their latest verification or update. If you later buy or restore Pro, the app can verify the Store purchase again and create a new verification record.

Platform services

Your operating system may provide Store purchases, document providers, sharing, printing, or eligible platform-managed backup and device-transfer features. Those services are operated by Google, Apple, or the provider you select and are governed by their own policies and account settings.

Data deletion

You can delete local app data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it. Exported ZIP packages and any copies stored with a document, cloud-storage, or sharing provider must be deleted from that provider or destination separately.

For a privacy question or an earlier deletion request about a purchase-verification record, contact nerubians@gmail.com. Include the Store platform and order or transaction identifier needed to find the record, but never send a password, payment-card details, or a raw Store token. After the request is validated, the matching developer-operated verification record is deleted. Apple or Google controls Store purchase history separately.

Children

BeautyCostDee is intended for business owners and operators. It is not directed to children under 13.

Store review summary: Core shop data is stored locally. The app does not require login for its core costing flow, exports a user-controlled complete ZIP backup, and uses Store purchase data only for entitlement verification.
